Microsoft presented their conference today at E3 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (Est) and 9:00 a.m. (PT). Here’s a recap of everything that they showed and to expect from their company in the coming months.

Microsoft Reveals Forza Horizon 2 Release Date & Trailer

Microsoft announced today that they will be releasing Forza Horizon 2  for Xbox One & Xbox 360 on September 30th, 2014.

Playground Games will be trying out online connectivity, and a sandbox style world. And in the first time in the series there will be an all new weather system, nighttime racing, and plenty more for their new Forza spinoff game.

Below is the new E3 Trailer for Forza Horizon 2:

Halo Collection And Halo 5 Beta Announced

Microsoft revealed at their E3 2014 press conference that they will be releasing a “Halo: The Master Chief Collection” as well as when to expect the Halo 5 beta.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes all 4 Halo adventures with master chief, this includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, and Halo 3 and 4. All 4 of these amazing games for $60 in one package, coming November 11th for Xbox One. Most importantly though is that included within this game will be a beta key to start playing Halo 5.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary

In this game you will be able to play the original 2001 campaign in the original visuals or updated 1080p graphics running at 60fps. Also, for the first time ever, you will be able to play Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer online with other players. The reason to be excited is that this online mode will be kept in its original form, none of the newer age Halo online multiplayer modes will be able to taint the original.

Halo 2 Anniversary

In Halo 2 you can expect the same great multiplayer maps along with all 23 DLC map packs included into it, even all the old ‘tricks and glitches’ should still work in these online modes. Also found in this game will be prologue and epilogue cut scenes that will tie into Halo 5 and enhanced Xbox One visuals.

Halo 3 & 4

Overall not much has changed with these games, no enhanced visuals or anniversary edition changes.

Sunset OverDrive Release Date Announced

Microsoft revealed that Sunset Overdrive will release on the Xbox One October 28th. The developer Insomniac has also confirmed an 8-player online co-op mode called “Chaos mode.

Microsoft has announced that their popular 2005 Xbox game ‘Phantom Dust’ will be coming to Xbox One.

Not many details were given about this game but Microsoft described it at their conference as “a reimagined version of the beloved classic with all-new gameplay and graphics.” Phantom Dust was a game that combined strategy, action, and cards to help create a unique experience that really separated it from other games and helped it be remembered as a cult classic.
