Call of Duty Black Ops 3 dropped many bombs during E3 2015—from their exclusive a month first content on PlayStation 4 to having Call of Duty playable at E3, which was a first in the franchise’s history. Treyarch, the veteran development of Call of Duty, continued the wave giving a lot of information on multi-player with classes called Specialist. For the first time in the franchise, players have the chance to choose actual character classes with each character possessing unique attributes and weapon abilities.
Check out the interview above as GamerFitnation had the honor to sit down and chat with Design Director David Vonderhaar to chat about what Call of Duty Black Ops 3 multi-player has to offer.
During E3, two specialist classes were revealed: Prophet and Nomad. Each character class has a name, their own look, personality, background, weapons, and specialties. Players will have the chance to choose out of nine Specialist classes. Each classes has one unique weapon and one unique power. Entering a match though you’ll have to decide one over another, so you cannot choose both attributes at the same time.
The nine Specialists can be ranked up, offering a new level-progression pathway alongside global XP andweapons XP. The Specialists system changes the way players engage in combat at key points throughout a match, as each weapon and ability is designed to make your Specialist a unique force on the field.
Six Specialists in total out of nine have been revealed. How do you all feel about actual characters being added to multi-player ? Stay tuned as the updates roll in. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is set to release this November 6th to Windows PC, XBOX One, and PlayStation 4 ( Beenox and Mercenary Technology are developing for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions).
