Female Doppelgangers of Gaming

by on March 9, 2015

Since this is the beginning of Woman’s History Month, we decided to bring to you some video game characters who look like prominent ladies in real life. These wonderful gaming ladies have real-life counterparts who are just as wonderful and lovely. So, sit back and enjoy our list of some incredible female doppelgangers in video games.

Female Doppelgangers: Ellen Page and Ellie from The Last of Us

We are starting out our list with a very recent video game character who has been seen as a female doppelganger of Ellen Page ever since the initial release of The Last of Us. The young actress is very used to people claiming that the youthful female survivalist looks a lot like her. I wonder what young Ellie would think of herself looking like such a strong and successful woman.

Female Doppelgangers: Troian Bellisario and Quiet from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Next up is Troian Bellisario and her female doppelganger, Quiet. Troian Bellisario is an actress. One of her most prominent roles is that of Spencer Hastings from the hit TV series Pretty Little Liars. Quiet hails from the Metal Gear Solid franchise, specifically Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. She is a female sniper who was tortured at some point by soldiers and Ocelot. Both of these ladies are incredibly strong in mind and body, making this duo a force to be reckoned with.

Female Doppelgangers: Charlize Theron and Faith Connors from Mirrors Edge

When Mirrors Edge was first released, I could not help but notice how similar Faith Connor’s look was to the title character of Aeon Flux. Even though Charlize Theron does not look much like Faith Connors does now, there is no denying the similarities between Faith and Charlize’s character from the film Aeon Flux. Both of these badass ladies bring plenty to the world of women and make impressive doppelgangers of each other as well.

Female Doppelgangers: Elle Fanning and Aya Brea from 3rd Birthday

Aya Brea is a tough FBI agent with mitochondrial powers. It is up to her to go back in time and defeat the Twisted who threaten her world. Elle Fanning is probably best known for her portrayal of Aurora in the movie Maleficent, in which she also had a desire to protect a place that was very near and dear to her.  These two epic female doppelgangers may not look one hundred percent like each other, but they have a face and heart that connect the two.

Female Doppelgangers: Jennifer Lawrence and Lara Croft from Tomb Raider

The new reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise has given the infamous Lara Croft a much more realistic look. This look is strikingly similar to that of Jennifer Lawrence — when her hair is dyed brown and left long rather than uncut, of course. Not only do these two female doppelgangers look like each other, but both of them also sport that hard core fighter and survivalist mentality in their respective games and films. Both of these wonderful women are on a massive rise to fame, and it does not look like it will be stopping any time soon.
