World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is one of the most popular YouTube channels, with more than 6.5 million subscribers, making it the No. 1 Sports channel on the platform. With this, they have now created another channel to expand WWE from sports to all things video games. According to Lisa Fox, WWE Executive Vice President, they are confident that this new channel “will entertain not only WWE fans, but gamers everywhere.”
On June 16, WWE launched UpUpDownDown, the new YouTube gaming channel, already having more than 24,000 subscribers and is hosted by WWE professional wrestler and serious gamer Xavier Woods. Woods, also known as Creed, will be joined by YouTube celebrities, WWE Superstars, and video game editors for anything and everything in the world of gaming, discussing on various topics such as “WWE 2K15,” “The Witcher,” “FIFA,” and “Grand Theft Auto.”
