Samsung Gaming Monitors Coming soon
Samsung announced yesterday on Aug. 28 that they will be releasing two new monitors, specifically targeted for gamers. Samsung announced the inevitable arrival of the two monitors at IFA 2016, and the monitors will be formally introduced at the IFA press conference on Sep. 1 in Berlin.
We got a chance to check them out for ourselves and man they are spectacular.
The new monitors, the CF791 and the CFG70, integrate with quantum dot technology. The monitors are capable of displaying 125% of the sRGB spectrum and will be the first quantum dot displays that will feature a cadmium-free design. Both monitors will have a viewing angle of 178/178, QD Color Support as well as 2 HDMI ports.
The CF791 monitor will be available as a 34-inch screen, with a resolution of 3440×1440. It has a response time of 4ms, a refresh rate of a 100Hz, a 21:9 aspect ratio and a curvature of 1500R. With games becoming more immersed in detail, pairing up with this monitor could be a match made in heaven because of the larger size and aspect ratio. Pricing for the CF791 is expected to start at $999.
The CFG70 will be available in two variants, 23.5 inches and 27 inches. The CFG70 will have a resolution of 1920×1080, a response time of 1ms, an aspect ratio of 16:9, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and a curvature of 1800R. Pricing for the CFG70 is expected to start at 399 (23.5) and 499 (27).
The monitors will be available for testing during the IFA conference in Berlin, where visitors can sample “today’s leading video game titles” on the new monitors. With the high refresh rates, quick response times as well as the high resolutions and curved screens, Samsung look set to live up to their promise bring a “more immersive gaming experience”.
